Ski Wear
Ski wear covers almost the entire body protecting it from
cold temperatures, biting wind, and freezing snow. At the bottom level
is socks, long underwear and possibly glove liners. The next layer is
a further insulating layer that provides the warmth while still allowing
for freedom of movement. The middle layer is often attached to the outer
layer which is the protection from wind and water.
Ski wear can be found at sporting good stores as well as ski resorts
and online shops. There are many different prices for mountain clothing
from cheap to exorbitantly expensive. Unfortunately there is crappy
clothing on both ends so it is important to look for what materials
are used and what company they are made by. Doing a little bit of research
online can go a long way in the ski industry.
Ski wear comes in countless different styles. People from all walks
of life can feel comfortable and stylish wearing clothing that is also
functional and warm. For the extreme riders there is clothing that is
designed for severe weather and often has many attachments for mountaineering
tools. For the beginner and more mellow riders there is clothing that
is easy to wear and also looks good sitting at the après ski
bar.
